Privacy policy
What I keep, why I need it, and how you stay in control.
Who is responsible
Utkarsh Singh runs heyutkarsh.com. For privacy questions, access, correction or deletion requests, contact work@heyutkarsh.com. Please use the email associated with your entry so I can verify the request without asking for unnecessary information.
Browsing and device preferences
You do not need an account to browse. Your chosen appearance is saved in local storage until you clear site data. Session storage remembers whether the name introduction has played in this tab. Sound is off on each visit unless you enable it. The first-party page does not include advertising cookies or analytics trackers; external services have their own practices.
Game information and its purpose
Submitting a result stores your email address, submitted time, entry identifier, timestamps and ranking preference. These support your entry, personal best, provisional position, result email and prize follow-up. A server-side IP-derived value limits abuse. Utkarsh also receives a private entry notification. Your email is not displayed on a public leaderboard. Local development previews may save test entries and messages privately on the development computer without sending email.
Emails and optional updates
Submitting an entry requests its scorecard and final game results or prize follow-up. Weekly rank-change emails are separate: the checkbox starts off, and a signed email link confirms that choice. At most one rank-change update is sent every seven days, only if your position changes. Email-provider acceptance is not a guarantee of inbox delivery. This game form does not subscribe you to portfolio marketing.
Service providers
Vercel hosts the site. The configured game database is Supabase in Mumbai; the game email service uses Resend for delivery. Opening the calendar loads Cal.com for bookings. Social links and your email app are operated by their providers. Those services may process information outside your country; the Mumbai database choice does not mean every provider processes all information only in India.
Delivery, security and retention
Hosting and security services may process connection information such as IP address, browser, requested URL and request time. Game delivery records retain message identifiers, retries and delivery/bounce information. Bounced or complained-about addresses are suppressed to prevent further messages. The draft game-data retention plan is deletion within 90 days after prize fulfilment, subject to necessary dispute or legal records. The final retention schedule will be published here; you can request deletion now using the contact address below. Provider logs and backups follow their own retention arrangements.
Your choices and requests
You can browse without playing, leave the optional checkbox off, and clear browser storage. Signed email preference links let you turn off weekly ranking emails. “This wasn’t me” removes that run from the provisional ranking and turns off optional updates; it is not a full erasure request. Email work@heyutkarsh.com for access, correction, deletion or other applicable privacy rights. I do not sell your personal information. Records are shared only for the described services, protection of the site or applicable legal obligations.
Updates to this policy
The date above identifies this version. Material changes to collection or use will be explained before the new processing starts. Game eligibility, results and rewards are covered separately in the draft game rules; this notice does not make a provisional score a verified prize result.
